We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our awesome team. The ideal candidate has to be confident and comfortable rooming patients, assisting the doctors and technicians in surgery, client education, properly handling and restraining animals, drawing blood and running bloodwork, familiar with x-ray and proper positioning, placing IV catheters, using laboratory equipment and has to have a positive team-player attitude. Requirements:

• 1+ years of veterinary experience
• Must be able to work rotating Saturdays
• Working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Positive team player willing to continue to learn
