Your New Role

This position exists to support the senior operational and financial leaders of WBTV Production. The role provides strategic leadership in modeling WBTV cash receipt projections that assist in capital allocation planning. The role is a connective link for WBTV Production Finance, Operations, Corporate Finance, Controllership and other Capability Centers.

This role serves all groups related to TV Production including, Production, Production Finance, Business Affairs, Order to Cash and Controllership. There is high demand, scrutiny and Risk as there is a direct correlation between the information generated (approx. $2B in receipts) in this role to the key decision holders. This role requires accuracy, proactivity and keeping multiple time sensitive projects moving forward at any given time.


Your Role Accountabilities

Support WBTV Production in setting Short Term and Long Term Cash Strategies

  • Works directly with senior WBTV Production leaders on crafting and articulating strategies and decision-making rationale relating to cash planning.
  • Analyze ongoing production trends and identify tactics to improve cash planning and protect margins.
  • Create, own, and present detailed models and sensitivity analyses to support executive decision-making related to the timing of cash inflows.
  • Assesses various deal structures and licensing terms based on partners, types of shows and IP being considered.
  • Partner with business units to develop long range cash plans aligned with WBD growth initiatives.
  • Analyzes cash receipt trends to ensure the actual cash received aligns with projected cash flows.


Provides FP&A for WBTV Production

  • Manage and Oversee all aspects of consolidated cost Ultimates for every series produced for television.
  • Analyze and understand all components of the ultimate production costs including direct costs, tax incentives, partner contributions and applied overhead.
  • Liaise with corporate FP&A around understanding the impacts of various business decisions and initiatives.
  • Provide support and guidance to corporate finance teams for monthly and quarterly forecasting activities.
  • Analyze the cost to complete for all series to ensure series costs are aligning with their ultimates.  This includes all components of production costs including direct costs, tax incentives, partner contributions and applied overhead.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 8-10 years in Accounting, Finance, Strategy or Business Development roles
  • Media and Entertainment Experience desired
  • Bachelors in Finance or Accounting degree required
  • Strategic, Analytical and Critical Thinking
  • Complex financial modeling
  • Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills 
  • Ability to manage and motivate others to perform under stressful conditions
  • Ability to multi-task, work under tight time constraints and meet deadlines
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,550.00 - $177,450.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
