The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Software Development Intern to join our team in Raanana, Israel.
In this role, you will develop and maintain Red Hat Ansible collections and content. You'll gain an understanding of our partners' infrastructures and technology, and implement validated automation content for these partners.
As a Software Development intern, you will work closely with team members and other stakeholders on various specific initiatives, including architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance of ansible playbooks. You must be motivated, curious, and passionate about problem-solving, Linux technologies, and open source.
Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to new collections and Ansible content development by coding, building, and testing.
Submit patches for bug fixes to the community and review patches from other community members
Addressing customer technical, development, and IT issues and needs
Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs
Keep stakeholders updated on matters that may affect project or company performance
Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions, and handle sensitive conversations in a professional manner
Required Skills:
University or college student in computer science or in software engineering, mathematics, or physics
Familiarity with one of the following Go, Python, or Java
Motivated, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Current student enrolled at a university in Israel with graduation in summer/autumn 2025
The following are considered an advantage:
Experiences as a user with public(AWS/Azure/GCP) cloud-based services.
Familiarity with Linux systems
Familiarity with Windows systems administration
