Mission and Main Objectives: 

We’re looking for someone agile, proactive, and resilient, who can support various areas of the department as we progress with a project to update the tax and legal status of the Nissan Sunderland plant. 

The successful applicant will be able to fluidly move between topics, working with different functions, locations and across seniority levels.  

This is an extremely dynamic and exciting position. In this fast-paced environment, you will need to be agile to new requests and new challenges. However, you will not do this alone. You will join an established team of finance professionals who are responsible for ensuring that the business performance of Nissan plants is reported accurately and concisely to our local/regional/global management teams. 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

The work will be a combination of existing departmental tasks (to support existing team members who have taken on additional roles and responsibility following completion of the project), but also to set up processes for areas which will be brand new for the plant.   

Duties could include, but are not limited to: 

• Taking responsibility for standard costing of automotive parts as well as end items for Nissan’s NMUK plant located in Sunderland UK 

• Analysing standard costs versus actuals 

• Maintenance of SAP conditions that relate to logistics costs and margins for sales 

• Interface management focusing of material master data and standard costs 

• Participating in inventory closing activities (booking adjustments, preparing reports, etc.) 

• Ad-hoc queries/activities supporting Inventory team 

• Provide support to Projects as required 

• Any other duties as directed by Management 

Background & Experience

• Ability to present data in a clear and structured manner/ Strong analytical mindset 

• Precise work and good eye for details 

• Understanding accounting standards 

• Positive and flexible attitude in supporting the team in achieving tight deadlines 

• Challenging and flexible mindset. Strive for continuous improvement 

• Strong knowledge in Excel and SAP, Access Database and precious costing experience is advantageous 

• Confident communicator, comfortable in dealing with colleagues based across Europe & Japan (no language requirements).
