Sanimax is looking to hire a Route Planning Specialist and can be located in one of our 3 locations: Green Bay, South St Paul or De Forest.

Position Overview

This individual will be responsible for the route optimization through efficient routing, planning and supporting the execution of our 240 routes split across 8 different sites and servicing more than 26,000 customers across the US and Canada.  The Route Planning Specialist is a key role that supports all of our Transportation, Customer Service, Procurement and Finance Teams.  In collaboration with all of these departments, the Transport Logistics Planner will supply information and guidance for the planning and execution of transport routes to optimize the customer service and the route efficiencies.   

Responsibilities include:

• Plan the routes optimization based on the monthly and weekly customer pick-up planned with the Transportation Teams
• Review and update the planning information and forecasted customer pick-up to ensure proper data integrity, customer service and efficient routing
• Monitor the planned routing versus actual results to improve overall routes efficiencies
• Perform key data analysis and maintenance to reach efficient and improved processes 

Experience:

• Degree in Logistics, Transportation or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics, with experience as Transportation Planner or Dispatcher strongly preferred.
• Ability to plan and coordinate transportation routes locally and at distance while working with a central planning team.
• Knowledge of transportation and routing software to plan and optimize routes such as Ortec, Roadshow or Roadnet.
• Proven relationship building skills with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proactively seek out cost efficiencies.
• Able to operate autonomously and with sense of urgency.
• Expert level MS Office knowledge with strong analytical skills
