Job Responsibilities:
 
The AI Solutions Product Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing activities for Print and Scan Solutions catering to various customer segments (Consumer, SMB, Enterprise etc.). This involves working closely with business unit stakeholders to ensure that the platform meets their needs and supports customer-facing HP products and solutions. The AI Solutions Product Manager makes data-driven decisions and collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Print Divisions Product teams and internal Engineering, Architecture, and Program teams, to drive platform functionality from concept to customer adoption.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a scalable, secure, and reliable Print and Scan AI Solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.
• Own the business-specific platform roadmap for services and manage the backlog through constant prioritization. Manage product management requirements coming from various business units and cross-functional teams.
• Translate stakeholder needs into product requirements and definitions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to guide feature development and prioritization.
• Translate user requirements into executable and workable feature items with the software engineering team.
• Act as an advocate for stakeholders during the specification and development stages.
• Manage the product lifecycle of horizontal capabilities on the Print Software platform.

Knowledge & Skills:
• Strong technical knowledge of Printers, Software platform systems, including enterprise, middleware, firmware, embedded systems and AI Tech stack.
• Adept at collecting and analyzing input from multiple sources (internal customers, product managers, engineering, architecture, and management).
• Relevant experience in software platform product management and AI in general.
• Ability to understand and deal well with rapid development cycles and remain flexible in the face of uncertainty.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical language and translate between the two.

Scope & Impact:
• Advises various internal, partner, and customer teams on the needs and requirements of target markets.
• Works closely with architects and technology leads, directly engaging with internal and external software development teams.

Complexity:
• Moderate: Some senior management interface; frequent cross-functional/cross-organizational interaction. Requires both Strategic thinking and tactical execution.
• Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.
• Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader, providing direction to team activities and facilitating information validation and team decision-making processes.
• Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.

Education & Experience:
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.
• The role formulates strategies and meticulous software plans for organization's platforms and technologies. The role recruits motivates, mentors, coaches, develops, and retains a high-performing team of product managers and product marketers.


Responsibilities
• Plays a leadership role and drives the progress of the product management function.
• Leads cross-functional teams through agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Monitors competitive market to determine client needs for certain product improvements.
• Strategically partners with key senior stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
• Recommends product requirements and definitions to align with stakeholder's needs.
• Collaborates with the software engineering team on feature ideas and prototypes to bring potential solutions to life.
• Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle.
• Tracks and reports key metrics to drive future product developments.
• Collaborates with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product launch plans, and marketing collateral.
• Demonstrates process improvement and project management experience, preferably with the implementation of large projects.


Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.

Preferred work location is Vancouver, WA with hybrid 3xdays per week onsite.
