Position Summary

This role is responsible for planning and executing audit projects across our corporate pharmacy locations. It includes planning and collaborating with less experienced staff on less complex audit projects, ensuring quality and timely completion. This position also involves communicating audit findings through both verbal presentations and comprehensive written reports.

Here's What You'll Do

  • Prepare external audit reports that communicate to corporate and functional management audit issues, recommendations, and management responses (corrective actions).
  • Develop audit work programs for planned audits and special requests as assigned.
  • Manage all corporate pharmacy audits; conduct/supervise planning internal audits or special projects, participate in on-site audit activities, and on-site support for in-store third-party audits
  • Prepare complete and accurate work papers that record and summarize the data obtained for each audit.
  • Prepare and submit to appropriate management personnel Preliminary Audit Reports (PAR's) as the means to communicate complete, concise, and factual audit findings.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the support team to create audit guidelines and administrative safeguards to aid in audit prevention
  • Submit, coordinate, and track audit appeals to various third parties to mitigate financial impact to the company.
  • Communicate audit impacts to finance
  • Pull reports to identify claims that are at risk of audit
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here's What You'll Need

  • Associate’s degree in related field; Bachelor’s degree (preferred)  or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of auditing and fraud investigations.
  • Understanding of operational, financial and regulatory risks and risk mitigation.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across the organization.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to adjust work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines and business needs
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point).
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including overnight, to company locations.
  • Retail pharmacy background preferred
  • Pharmacy technician licensure and certification within 6 months of hire

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
