The work mode arrangement for the position is full-time on site.

As an IT security technician, you help protect IT hardware, software and data against modification, destruction, and accidental or unauthorized disclosure. You also assist in authentication and access control. You help analyze IT system vulnerabilities and implement protective measures to back up, restore and secure systems. You serve as technical collaborator and provide operational security support for your unit’s activities, initiatives and processes. The ability to tailor your approach as needed is therefore essential. You research and analyze processes, information management and data processing. You draw on your sound decision-making skills to solve technical problems and help develop and improve methods and procedures. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Provide technical support for projects and operational issues

  • Conduct technical studies, research and analysis. Process access requests for computer systems. Serve as resource person for the submission of solutions

  • Ensure operational security for software and manual and automated processes. Train users

  • Prepare technical notes to enhance the skills and knowledge of users and their teams

  • Help practitioners follow your unit’s processes and use its monitoring tools and systems

What you bring to the table

  • General college diploma in a related field

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Knowledge of French is required
