What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is recruiting eDiscovery System Engineers to outwit complexity and be a part of our fast-growing litigation and investigation support practice.  Every organization today faces complexity across multiple levels on a frequent basis. The eDiscovery Systems Engineer:

  • Supports eDiscovery Review and Analysis platforms, such as Veritas eDiscovery Platform (Clearwell) and Relativity, performing Engineer/Administrator services in support of electronic discovery including the operations and maintenance of these platform.

  • Ensures high availability and routine operation and maintenance of these systems, including training and developing standard operating procedures, identify innovative approaches to leverage technology in support of repeatable and defensible eDiscovery workflows, weekly/ monthly maintenance, and incident response.

  • Systems are deployed on physical and virtualized servers, have geographically separated data centers for Continuity of Operations, massive amount of attached storage and requires a wide range of supporting tasks, including but not limited to:

    • Participate in teleconferences or technical meetings to review, educate, and support program objectives.

    • Process storage requests, migrations, and decommission tasks.

    • Monitor failed system components and coordinate vendor and intra-agency support (L2-L4).

    • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. 

  • The eDiscovery Systems Engineer has a sound understanding of accompanying enterprise services, such as MS365 Core and Premier Discovery. 


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance

  • FOUR (4) years of systems engineer/administrator experience

  • Experience as systems administrator supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 in large physical and virtual infrastructures.

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and network architecture.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly to translate customer requirements to technical requirements. 


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • TWO (2) years of previous experience in architect and design of complex high available systems

  • Experience supporting eDiscovery Review and Analysis platforms such as Veritas eDiscovery Platform, Relativity, or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of VMWare administration and tools.

  • Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, deploying systems and payloads to AWS or Azure is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Enterprise IT systems, such as MS Exchange, Enterprise Vault, file servers, and SharePoint.

  • Ability to work independently with high level of initiative and excellent troubleshooting skills, while maintaining and fostering collaboration across the team and enterprise stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Continuity of Operations (COOP) and disaster recovery strategies.

  • Ability to research and recommend innovative system design to build effective and efficient processes that meet and grow with the mission.

  • Strong skills with researching and resolving tier 2 and tier 3 customer support; ability to train end-users on the best practices and use of supported platforms.

  • Strong understanding of scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Perl, or Python.  Strong communication skills and abilities to participate in technical meetings to review, provide education, and support program objectives.

  • Demonstrated experience with ESI collection tools and/or eDiscovery Platforms (Clearwell, Relativity or equivalent) to facilitate Identification, Analysis and Production of ESI in support of civil and/or criminal matters.

  • Familiarity with end-to-end lifecycle management of litigation support matters.

  • Ability to provide ad hoc support to end users of the electronic discovery review platform repository.

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
