Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack Java in Irving, TX. Multiple openings.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack Java will be responsible for designing and implementing Java based web and enterprise applications using JAVA/J2EE frameworks including Spring, webservice, Hibernate ORM and following Microservices Architecture for business requirements to support internal clients. Additional job duties include the following:

  • Participating in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle to implement complex applications / technology solutions.
  • Ensuring code coverage, producing high level design documents and interface specifications.
  • Identifying production and non-production application issues and fixing them.
  • Functioning and communicating within a software development team consisting of designers, developers, quality assurance, product management and project management members.
  • Analyzing requirements and develop technical design for applications.
  • Coding, unit testing and documenting solutions.
  • Designing and implementing RESTful APIs for business requirements.
  • Developing high quality code via test driven development, automated testing and other continuous integration and continuous delivery mechanisms.
  • Migrating monolithic software applications into microservices using Springboot and migrating applications to a cloud environment using cloud deployment technologies.
  • Working with modern web application frameworks like Angular.
  • Applying Agile practices for successful, sustainable delivery of software solutions.
  • Performing work using the following tools: JAVA/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Restful web services, Spring Boot, Mongo Db, Cassandra, Kafka, AWS, Hibernate, Jenkins, SONAR, Docker, Junit, Mockito and EasyMock.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications or Computer Information Systems and 5 years of related software development experience.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: 1) Designing and implementing Java based web and enterprise applications using JAVA/J2EE frameworks including Spring, webservice, Hibernate ORM and following Microservices Architecture for business requirements to support internal clients. 2) Designing and implementing RESTful APIs for business requirements. 3) Developing high quality code via test driven development, automated testing and other continuous integration and continuous delivery mechanisms. 4) Migrating monolithic software applications into microservices using Springboot and migrating applications to a cloud environment using cloud deployment technologies. Must also have at least two years of experience with each of the following tools/technologies: Spring Framework, Spring Restful web services, Spring Boot, Mongo Db, Cassandra, Kafka, AWS, Hibernate, Jenkins, SONAR, Docker, Junit, Mockito and EasyMock. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.

This position is with U.S. Bank National Association, a U.S. Bank company. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $149,781 - $171,000.
