JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is open only to candidates who currently reside in one of the following approved locations:

New York, NY; Blue Ash or Cincinnati, OH; or Los Angeles, CA

Job Summary 

You will assume responsibility as counsel for several of our business teams. You will be responsible for assisting with data privacy laws, rules, and regs plus the negotiation, drafting and management of all agreements relating to these lines of the business. This role requires the legal skills, business acumen, and experience necessary to drive successful legal and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Drafting, reviewing and leading negotiations on a high volume of contracts daily, including third party vendor agreements, partnership agreements, marketing agreements and other commercial agreements

  • Interfacing and collaborating with the legal department and other internal departments to provide legal advice on new initiatives

  • Special projects and other matters as needed to assist the legal department

  • Working with external counsel wherever appropriate

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of legal experience

  • Fintech payments industry experience

  • JD degree

  • Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements

  • Admission to at least one US state bar

  • Basic understanding of privacy laws, rules, and regs

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $183,000 to $274,500 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
