What You Will Do:

The Change Management and Communications Lead will join a dynamic team supporting a global implementation of IT systems at the Department of State. In this role, the candidate will develop the approach for change management strategies and strategic communications efforts for the rollout of two global IT systems to ensure successful adoption and communication to stakeholders in support of the implementation. In addition, the candidate will oversee the day-to-day efforts of the workstreams executing the change and communications strategies for both systems, ensuring overall coordination across both efforts.

Day to Day Responsibilities May Include:

  • Leading workstreams in the development of change management and communications strategies and accompanying implementations plans

  • Overseeing the execution of change and communications strategies

  • Developing stakeholder engagement approaches, to include performing stakeholder analyses, and developing stakeholder personas and journey maps

  • Developing multi-channel communications products for communicating with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders

  • Developing metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of change and communications initiatives and activities

  • Preparing for and leading internal and external stakeholder discussions, client meetings, and briefings


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • FIVE (5) or more years’ experience developing change management and communications strategies and initiatives


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Certified Change Management Professional Certification, PROSCI, or other change management credential

  • State Department experience (or other international agency)

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders

  • Prior consulting experience

  • Experience with communications related to IT, systems implementations, or technology projects
