Join our team as a Working Student at eBay's Amsterdam office to work with advanced technologies on intricate language understanding tasks. In collaboration with the university, you’ll conduct research to improve current models and contribute to prototyping of innovative solutions. As part of your role you will extract and prepare training data, write algorithms with the goal to improve Large Language and Agentic Models through optimization techniques, human feedback, and advanced reasoning approaches.

Your requirements:

  • Pursuing a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence or related fields with a preferred specialization in natural language processing

  • Starting date in November/December 2025

  • Experience with designing and training machine learning models and in particular Transformers and LLMs.

  • Proven ability to work independently and make good decisions with minimal direction

  • Strong communication skills (fluent English, both verbal and written)

  • Experience working with complex and large text and web data Programming skills (Python/C++, bash command-line tools, docker)
