POSITION: Cloud & Identity Engineering Interns

These internship positions will form an integral part of the JCI Global IT Hosting team, which is currently expanding its global headcount. IT Hosting consists of a global team of experts, specializing in hybrid and multi-cloud architecture and solution engineering, Identity and Access Management, Disaster Recovery and Zero Trust. The team designs, implements and operates dynamic and scalable infrastructure solutions that help support our organizational strategy and mission.

During the internship, successful candidates will receive comprehensive training with a focus on cloud and identity management. They will work alongside the Cloud and Identity Operations teams, gaining practical experience to supplement their training, and they will make a tangible contribution to our planned projects and continuous improvement initiatives for 2025.

OVERVIEW:

Some indicative responsibilities for this role include:

  • Complete prescribed training in the platforms/technologies used by the team, e.g. Microsoft Azure Cloud Fundamentals and Identity and Access Administrator learning paths.
  • Operational Support: Complete tickets from Cloud Ops and Identity Operations support queues.
  • Data Validation: Work across IT teams to improve quality of data in our configuration Management database
  • Cloud Engineering: Work with Architecture/Engineering teams to deploy new cloud-based solutions
  • Backup/Recovery Plan Development: Help develop backup/restoration plans for servers across and ensure Business Continuity Plan documentation is maintained for our data centres
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Analyze team’s current ways of working and identify opportunities for streamlining and automation.
  • FY25 Projects: Actively participate in projects designed to improve the health and security of our cloud-based and on-premise environment and update on progress in daily scrum calls.
