Primary Function:
Perform financial and business case analysis to recommend solutions and to support business planning and decision making for all aspects of our Global Sugar Reduction Business Unit
Core Responsibilities:
- Identify, track and report on Sugar Reduction product lines beyond Pure Circle. These include Allulose, Maltitol, FOS as well as stevia not previously sold through the Pure Circle report legal entities. Identify and track potential future product lines to be included in the Sugar Reduction Business unit.
- Ensure organizational alignment across multiple regions for planning and reporting of Selling and Marketing spending for Go to Market teams assigned to Sugar Reduction business unit.
- Provide financial and business counsel for the Innovation Finance group and R&D on defined new product development initiatives.
- Provide Finance support for new investments in Biotransformation/precision fermentation, functional build back products to improve Stevia taste, etc. These investments may come in the form of M&A, a joint venture or supply agreements.
- Monitor all financial activity with ongoing supply relationships such as Amyris for Reb M fermentation products.
- Provide financial and business support for Product Line Management of the Sugar Reduction Business unit.
- Provide financial support for Pricing and margin management with the Commercial team.
- Perform financial review of monthly performance for Sugar Reduction product lines beyond Pure Circle products. Prepare and maintain Power BI reporting where pertinent.
- Ensure data accuracy between Corporate and Regional Systems for the Sugar Reduction Business Unit
- Support appropriate reporting of data from Sale Force.com on new business development.
- Develop collaborative and influential relationships with the Sugar Reduction Team and key leaders within Global Key Accounts.
- Understand and build partnerships with key contacts across various groups: Corp. Finance, Corp. Accounting, Regional Finance, Marketing, Regional Marketing and R&D/Technical.
- Provide direction, coaching and mentoring for senior financial analyst report.
Qualified candidate will have:
- Demonstrated strong project management skills in a global organization.
- Must have a strong knowledge of balance sheet, income sheet, cash flow, and working capital analysis. Strong ability to develop financial modeling to support decision making in new investments.
- Must be able to analyze financial results and assess financial/strategic impacts of business decisions. Demonstrated ability to think in terms of total business process and strategy.
- Ability to act autonomously.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint. SAP, BPC/BW and Power BI knowledge is desirable.
- Knowledge of Food Ingredients industry (competition, business climate, manufacturing processes) is a plus.
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information to the organization in a clear, and concise manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or accounting required with 5-10 years practical experience. An MBA considered a strong positive.
- Ability to travel up to 10-20% of the time.
