What We're Looking For:

Are you a hands-on individual with mechanical talent looking for a role where you can directly impact production success? At Zebra, we are seeking a skilled Converting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this position, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our specialized converting machinery, ensuring our products meet the highest quality and safety standards. Your work is essential to helping us meet production goals and maintain the efficiency of our plant.

Responsibilities

As a Converting Machine Operator, your focus will be on outcomes and efficiency. Your key responsibilities will be:

• Manage the complete setup and operation of rewind machines to convert materials according to precise product specifications.

• Perform adjustments and basic troubleshooting using hand tools to ensure continuous and uninterrupted production.

• Execute quality tests following ISO procedures to guarantee every product meets our strict standards.

• Meet and exceed shift productivity targets, contributing directly to the team's success.

• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Collaborate actively with the team, sharing knowledge and participating in the training of new members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 1 year of experience operating machinery, with a preference for experience in the converting or flexographic industry.

• Demonstrated ability for teamwork and problem-solving.

• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.

• Basic math and computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience operating finishing or label converting equipment (e.g., die-cutting, laminating, slitting).

• Excellent mechanical and diagnostic abilities.

Responsabilidades:

Gestionar el ciclo completo de operación de la máquina de rebobinado, desde la configuración inicial hasta la producción de rollos terminados, cumpliendo las especificaciones exactas.

• Asegurar la continuidad operativa realizando ajustes mecánicos y solucionando problemas básicos con herramientas manuales para minimizar el tiempo de inactividad.

• Garantizar la calidad del producto ejecutando pruebas y validaciones según los procedimientos ISO para que cada artículo cumpla con los estándares de Zebra.

• Impulsar la productividad del equipo alcanzando y superando los objetivos de producción diarios, contribuyendo directamente al éxito del departamento.

• Fomentar una cultura de seguridad cumpliendo rigurosamente con todas las normativas y el uso correcto del Equipo de Protección Personal (EPP).

• Contribuir a la mejora continua colaborando con tus compañeros y participando activamente en la capacitación de nuevos miembros del equipo.

Requisitos:

Requisitos Indispensables:

• Educación Secundaria/Preparatoria terminada.

• Al menos un año de experiencia operando maquinaria industrial. La experiencia en la industria de conversión o flexografía es altamente deseable.

• Habilidad comprobada para el trabajo en equipo y la resolución de problemas en un entorno de producción.

• Capacidad para seguir instrucciones técnicas escritas y verbales.

• Conocimientos básicos de matemáticas y computación.

Requisitos Deseables:

• Experiencia específica operando equipos de acabado de etiquetas (ej. troquelado, laminado, corte).

• Habilidades mecánicas avanzadas para diagnóstico y resolución de problemas complejos.
