Job Description
DPR Construction's Self Preform Work group is seeking a senior project accountant with at least 8 years of commercial construction accounting experience. This individual will be ultimately responsible for day-to-day accounting of project financials. Senior project accountants will work closely with all members of the SPW project team - project managers, engineers, superintendents and field office coordinators. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
- Assist SPW PMs with timely and accurate pay applications (including sub/vendor billings) each month based on the project delivery method with goal of billing amounts to cover forecasted costs through end of month.
- BIE/CIE Financial reporting (currently not automated)
- Assemble AR reports and send them to supervisor for EPM updates.
- Send reports to SPW PMs for MSR “Accounting Payment Info” section updates.
- SPW sub/vendor/affiliated entities:
- Post subcontracts within SPW sub-jobs.
- Open Textura for SPW sub/vendor billings
- Ensure timely payments to SPW subs/vendors.
- SPW main contact for project billing and SPW vendor status
- Assist SPW PM with Labor Rate reviews and make corrections when necessary.
- LMEO transfers / manage vConstruct process.
- Prepare Sub-job Closeout Packages
- Assist with project audits.
- Meeting Month End Close and Year End Close Requirements and Deadlines
- Lump Sum
- - Work with Site Team PAs to ensure monthly Textura draws open/closed.
- - Follow-up with SPW PMs for billing submittals to Site Teams
- - Follow-up with Site Teams for billing approvals
- GMP
- - Schedule of Values - Strategize and map cost codes to optimize billings.
- - Review costs to remove non-billable items.
- - Prepare Job Billings
- - Managing GMP monthly billing list
- Delegate monthly GMP billings to vConstruct team.
- Review vConstruct completed billings.
- QA & QC
- Work with SPW PMs for accruals.
- Approve and Post GMP Billing Amounts in CMiC
- Enter values within Textura.
- Follow-up with Site Teams for billing approvals
Qualifications
We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:
- Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, accounting cost management software (CMIC or similar).
- 8+ years of experience as an accountant, preferably within the construction industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or CCIFP.
- A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.
This is an in-office position
Salary Range: $90K-120K
