Leidos Health Mission Solutions is seeking an experienced Endpoint Operations Manager, contingent upon contract award, to support a highly visible Technology (IT) services effort at the Health Human & Human Services (HHS) in Rockville, MD.

* This position is contingent upon contract award.

* Local candidates to the Rockville MD / DC Metro area preferred or open to relocate. (No relocation assistance available.)

* Candidate must be a US Citizen or US Person (Green Card Holder) with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and have lived in the US for the past 3 consecutive years.

The Endpoint Operations Manager is responsible for integrating, managing, and leading the operation teams for Endpoint Systems including PCs, mobile devices, and unified communication and collaboration (UCC) tools used throughout the entire program. This individual will provide managerial oversight of the team while managing priorities and technical projects for the team. They will work with the Program Manager on technical road map initiatives and resource planning and allocation. They will serve as a senior technical escalation point for issues and challenges the team may face and provide overall feedback and guidance. They will act as a primary interface with the HHS customer and meet regularly with government counterparts to provide status updates, review projects and risks, and go over upcoming priorities. They will also interact and collaborate regularly with other cross-functional teams and contractor teams in support of the HHS customer initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide guidance and direction to the various endpoint operations teams.

  • Manage and prioritize workflows and processes for the team to optimize efficiency without sacrificing quality.

  • Provide integration management support for the production system implementations and transition new technologies into the Production environment.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive integration management approach for operations programs.

  • Responsible for implementing a project management and integration approach that reduces risk, error, and anticipated issues.

  • Serve as a senior technical advisor to the team and help guide overall strategy.

  • Coordinate with other members of the IT Infrastructure team on cross-functional projects and deliverables.

  • Ensure adequate documentation is completed for assigned tickets and projects.

  • Provide functional and technical written evaluations of products and new operations solutions.

  • Provide technical guidance and coordination with onsite and remote teams.

  • Understand client work practices and the nature of their business

  • Ensure all Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded by all endpoint teams.

  • Develop, review, and track all endpoint operations related contract deliverables to ensure they are delivered on time and accurately to the government.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot endpoint-related issues.

  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of endpoint operations.

  • Manage and mentor endpoint support operations staff.


Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Generally, has 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person (Green Card holder) and 3 years consecutive residency in the U.S.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

  • Team Management and Project Management Experience – 5+ years, Proficiency Level of Senior

  • Proven experience with Microsoft O365 cloud management solutions (e.g., Intune, Endpoint Manager).

  • Strong understanding of enterprise email management systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of platform operations concepts and tools.

  • Experience managing PC operating system upgrades and image deployments.

  • Experience managing endpoint security systems and tools.

  • Excellent professional presentation, communication, and documentation skills.

  • Able to create, implement, and enforce processes and policies.


Desired Qualifications

  • Active Directory (General) 3-5 years

  • Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10/11) – 5+ years

  • Microsoft SCCM/Intune – 3-5 years

  • Network connectivity and concepts – 3-5 years

  • System image /software packaging deployment- 3-5 years

  • Ability to coordinate multiple vendor relationships.

  • Ability to support client growth in the end-user environment with Microsoft productivity tools, i.e. Microsoft 365 applications.

  • Experience with VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) technologies.

  • Solid understanding of UCC (Unified Communications & Collaboration) systems.

  • Experience managing VTC/Teams room environments.

  • Experience deploying and managing processes and procedures for various endpoint operations projects and teams.

  • Experience with developing and maintaining MS Project schedules for multiple teams and projects.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with IT trends.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
