Mental Health Recovery Worker

Location: North Somerset Support Housing
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm (flexible start/finish; part-time considered)

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £25,867 - £32,090

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Mental Health Recovery Worker to support individuals with mental health needs to develop the skills and confidence required to sustain accommodation and move towards independent living.

You will work across two supported housing services (18 units total), providing 1:1 support to residents and managing a small caseload of key clients. You will help people build life skills, improve wellbeing and achieve meaningful recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred support to improve individuals’ mental and physical wellbeing.

  • Develop tailored support plans and risk assessments, promoting independence and recovery-focused outcomes.

  • Support individuals to build life skills, including budgeting, tenancy sustainment, and access to education, employment, and services.

  • Monitor resident wellbeing and maintain a safe, respectful living environment.

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic records in line with compliance standards.

  • Work collaboratively with external agencies and contribute to achieving service targets.

  • Work effectively as part of a supportive team, managing your workload and engaging in supervision and professional development.

    • Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)

    About the Service

    North Somerset Support Housing provides temporary accommodation across a 10-bed shared house and 8 self-contained flats. The service supports people to develop the skills needed to move on to their own tenancy.
