Position Summary

We are seeking an additional Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Solid Tumor team.

Solid tumor patients often receive complex medical care on various chemotherapy protocols. Patients often are on a clinical trial with rigorous and complex care plans requiring high level of management and coordination, both while at the hospital, in the outpatient clinic and at home. The solid tumor program continues to have sustained and/or increasing volumes. The solid tumor CNCs also support the HHT and VAC clinical programs.

With the growth of VAC and HHT over the past few years, it is not sustainable that the primary VAC/HHT coordinator is also supporting solid tumor oncology diagnosis patients and we are seeking additional support to ensure patient safety and quality clinical care is not compromised. The solid tumor program continues to partner with AYA as well as bring new and exciting clinical trials to our institution, including cellular therapies for relapsed solid tumor patients. The volume and complexity of care continues to grow, and we want to ensure we have a team set up to succeed so we can continue to provide excellent care in this region.

Provides comprehensive patient care, consultation, and education to Hematology-Oncology patients and families in the outpatient clinic using a primary nursing framework.
