Role Summary:
We are seeking a Conventional Machine Operator with strong experience in machining and operating traditional machine tools. The selected candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and modifying precision mechanical parts using conventional equipment, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards.
Responsibilities:
Operate conventional machine tools (lathe, milling machine, shaper, slotting machine).
Prepare, set up, and adjust machines and parts according to technical specifications.
Use precision measurement instruments (micrometer, caliper, dial indicator, etc.).
Interpret mechanical blueprints in millimeters and inches, including geometric tolerances.
Support basic maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
Follow operational procedures, quality standards, and HSE safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with the team and maintain effective communication with other areas.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Mechanical Technician (mandatory).
3+ years of experience operating conventional machine tools.
Knowledge of lathe, milling, shaper, and slotting machine operation.
CNC knowledge is a plus.
Ability to interpret blueprints in inches.
Effective communication, organization, and strong safety mindset.
Availability to work overtime when required.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Experience operating a smoothing/planing machine (alisadora) (preferred).
Having own vehicle (preferred).
