About the unit
The Family Birth Center serves our growing families with a 7-bed triage and 2 bed antenatal testing area, 15 bed labor/delivery/recovery rooms offering a combination of showers or Jacuzzi tubs, 1 natural birthing suite with Jacuzzi tub, 10 bed antepartum unit, 3 operating rooms, and a 3-bed recovery room. We care for low and high risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients in a family centered environment. Our goal is to assist the childbearing family with the support and skills they need on their journey through labor, childbirth, and early parenting.

Scope of work
The Surgical Technologist II will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the surgical suite, intraoperative handling of instruments, maintenance of the sterile field, and evaluation of changing conditions during the surgical procedures, and making appropriate responses as needed. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols. May serve as a preceptor as needed.
