Title: Senior Director, Professional Services
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Senior Director, Delivery is responsible for overseeing and directing teams to deliver project(s) for clients, serving as the key resource for clients, and is accountable for ensuring successful and on-time project delivery. Accountable for the identification and resolution of potential issues and risks that may impact project deliverables and serves as the key point of escalation for all project related activities. The Senior Director oversees multiple complex projects simultaneously, while building key relationships with industry leaders
Oversee delivery projects across multiple clients (target 5 clients) and projects (4500-7500 days of total effort) simultaneously and serving as the key resource for clients and project related activities.
Oversee project activities and deliverables, including schedules, financials, scope, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery
Accountable for the identification and resolution of potential issues and risks that may impact project deliverables and serves as the key point of escalation for all project related activities.
Accountable for achieving assigned annual revenue and margin targets.
Accountable for client satisfaction goals at assigned clients.
Accomplishes results by working through lower management levels.
Sets and directs project and program expectations while delegating and overseeing deliverables with team managers, members, and stakeholders.
Reports project results, metrics, test and deployment management activities to VP, SVP and COO, while recommending specific changes and improvements required to achieve maximum results
Works with Directors to manage the engagement contract and Statement of Work, serving as the key resource for issues.
Provides leadership and direction and builds and leads a culture of accountability to meet business objectives and goals
Oversee the overall people management of the group with responsibilities including, but not limited to, staffing, the management of direct reports, and subordinate team members, setting performance objectives, conducting annual performance reviews, managing underperformance, and recommends pay actions
Develops staff members through coaching and fostering of a positive work environment
Identifies, trains, and develops critical employees to the practice
Attracts, grows, engages and retains talent
Works with Directors and Senior Managers to manage the performance of those resources within the practice, while actively managing underperformance.
Maintains a strong knowledge of clients’ business and industry, anticipating and addressing opportunities and issues as they arise
Contributes to the overall group’s Strategy and Vision
Develop trusted adviser relationship with clients, project and program stakeholders, sponsors and university stakeholders
Contributes IP back to Delivery practice
Perform all other duties and activities as required.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree required, or higher level, or foreign equivalent.
Minimum of 15 years’ professional experience, preferably in implementing software applications
At least 5-7 years’ experience of managing large teams and customers
Successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget; and overseeing internal and external resources, and holding teams accountable for performance
PREFERRED:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:
Demonstrated experience building relationships with senior level client resources
Demonstrated experience leading, motivating and managing large project teams, including internal and external resources, while holding teams and customers accountable for performance
Superior leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation), organizational and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience achieving and exceeding revenue targets set forth by management
Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Work Environment & Other Requirements:
Travel: 0-10%
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of the job location
