As a key member of the UK & Ireland leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving Salesforce’s mission to deliver transformational value to our customers, ensuring their long-term sustainable success. Reporting to the SVP of Solutions Engineering, you will be instrumental in managing and closing strategic deals while embodying Salesforce’s core values: Trust, Customer Success, Innovation, and Equality.
Your success will depend on your ability to partner with sales and distribution leadership, guiding customers on their journey to adopt and realise the value of Salesforce solutions. You will lead a world-class Solutions Engineering (SE) team, redefining how Salesforce demonstrates value, engages with customers, and drives them towards success. Collaboration with the wider leadership team and Sales organisation will be critical as you help shape and execute Salesforce’s growth strategy.
Your Mission as Solutions Engineering Leader
In this influential role, you will:
Lead Transformation Efforts: Guide customers through their digital transformation journeys, offering strategic counsel on adoption and achieving long-term success. Unlocking value from our product capability and multi-cloud solutions.
Inspire and Develop a High-Performing Team: Build, nurture, and grow a diverse and multidisciplinary team of Solution Engineers with complementary skills and expertise.
Collaborate for Success: Partner closely with Sales leadership to craft and deliver compelling value propositions that resonate with customer needs across a range of industries.
Shape Solutions: Ensure your team designs and demonstrates impactful solutions aligned to customer success, showcasing the power and potential of Salesforce technologies.
Drive alignment with Product: Represent the UK & Ireland voice of our customers to influence and persuade product roadmap and decisions.
Foster Growth and Innovation: Develop innovative go-to-market strategies, drive organisational productivity, and champion cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic goals.
Champion Salesforce Values: Embody Salesforce’s core values in every aspect of your leadership, serving as a role model for your team and the wider organisation.
Partner with Sales leadership to communicate and deliver Salesforce’s transformational value proposition.
Alignment with Product management to represent the UK&I for product related improvements
Drive a mindset shift beyond technical discussions to focus on transformation, innovation, and long-term impact.
Lead and manage a diverse Solutions Engineering team, ensuring a balance of skills and perspectives to meet customer needs effectively.
Develop cross product solutions from customers which will unlock exponential growth and value creation.
Collaborate with Sales to create and execute growth plans that align with Salesforce’s strategic vision.
Support the growth of Salesforce business through creative and innovative methods, showcasing the breath and depth of our product capability and acting as an evangelist for value creations.
Attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent, creating a culture of performance, innovation, and career growth.
Develop and scale organisational programmes to enhance team productivity, expertise, and collaboration.
Represent Salesforce at the highest levels, engaging with customers and stakeholders through thought leadership and strategic discussions.
Support customer engagements by facilitating discussions at both the CIO level and deep technical conversations with Heads of Architecture (but not limited to jus this audience).
Continuously evaluate and evolve team capabilities to meet market and customer needs.
Skills and Experience
Leadership and Strategy:
Proven experience in a leadership role within strategy, management consulting, or sales organisations, with expertise in pre-sales, sales, and project delivery.
Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative, innovative culture.
Strategic Product Alignment & Execution:
Lead a team of product specialists to provide in-depth expertise across Salesforce products, including Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Tableau, Slack, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, and L2 solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and driving adoption of Salesforce’s full product suite.
Cross-Product Solution Leadership:
Collaborate with sales, product and engineering teams to design and deliver integrated, scalable solutions leveraging Salesforce products, driving innovation and enabling customers to maximise business value through connected, data-driven ecosystems.
Customer-Centric Approach:
Strong track record of engaging C-level executives and influencing their transformation agendas.
Experience selling and delivering solutions at the executive level, with a focus on value and outcomes.
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and the ability to articulate their business benefits clearly.
Proficiency in IT architecture, enterprise applications, and business process integration.
Transformation Mindset:
Deep knowledge of design thinking and human-centred approaches to innovation and problem-solving.
A passion for technology, innovation, and driving continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence:
Strong analytical and negotiation skills, particularly when engaging at the C-level.
Proven ability to deliver revenue targets while maintaining a focus on team development and growth.
Alignment with product management for issue resolution, enhancements and voice of the customer.
