What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is seeking a Voice/Networking Field Tech Engineer to provide support for a Voice over IP (VOIP) modernization (VMOD) effort, including unified communications (UC) and contact center (CC) capabilities. As the Field Tech Engineer you will be responsible for conducting and supporting activities at the customer sites across the U.S.

More About the Role:

  • Conduct site surveys to collect the information necessary to deploy the system (e.g., as-is and to-be floor plans, network, space/power available/needed, end user information, equipment to be decommissioned)
  • Prepare site survey reports, including the to-be rack elevations depicting cable / power runs)
  • Perform / support remediation activities (e.g., installing racks, conduit, cables)
  • Install equipment in the lab and/or customer site
  • Perform / support testing (e.g., equipment, configurations)
  • Uninstall / disposal of legacy equipment
  • Support end user migration (e.g., deskside and/or telephone support)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • This is a “Road Warrior” position with up to 90%+ travel – regionally across the USA, and include competitive base pay and per-diem (Using the latest US Government GSA per diem rates).
  • Network equipment integration and configuration
  • Support / troubleshooting
  • Device maintenance / updating
  • Site moves / new standups
  • Network routing
  • Network switching
  • Network trouble shooting
  • Voice gateways and protocols
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with the general IT practices and terminology
  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter
  • Technical document writing
  • College degree (B.A./B.S.) 1 plus years of related network engineering/IT experience/field tech.  (equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance or higher with ability to maintain at least a DoD Secret
  • Experience working on government contracts
  • Active CompTIA Security+ Certification is required (and must be maintained)
  • Voice telecommunications experience.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$62,200-$130,600
