The position supports the Information Technology team’s current EDI infrastructure and trading partner relationships. The Position will supervise EDI communication sessions for failures, and errors, investigate and resolve any inquires or issues relating to production support and respond to the needs of existing trading partners for changes to maps, communication setups, and relationship structure. The Position also will participate on project teams for the development of new EDI applications and transactions, and lead special projects related to the addition of new partners, EDI transactions and EDI software upgrades. 

 

  WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Provides development and support for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes and utilities, including testing, implementing and maintaining EDI transactions.

  • Acts as an advanced technical contact for external trading partners on EDI-related issues, questions, and activities. 

  • Diagnoses problems with EDI processes, working with other technical and/or business resources as vital for assistance. 

  • Oversees EDI & batch processes day-to-day to track levels of activity, compiling and supervising metrics to identify areas for improvement and automation.

  • Establish, documents, and maintain EDI procedures/processes. 

  • Supervise daily EDI processes and perform fix; coordinate corrective actions as vital. 

  • Communicate and coordinate activities with appropriate teams and other business partners for EDI projects. 

  • Serves as an EDI mapping developer for implementation and deployment of distributor and vendor EDI.

  • Manage, plan, schedule and prioritize EDI projects and tasks. 

  • Contacts and works with potential EDI trading partners to set up connectivity. Analyzes test data, coordinates with appropriate n-Vent business group. 

  • Manages special projects related to the addition of new partners and EDI transactions. Develops project requirements and works with n-Vent, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Logistics etc. etc. 

  • Supports the needs of existing trading partners for changes to maps, communication setups, and relationship structure. 

  • Supervises EDI communication sessions for line drops, failures, and other errors. Investigates and resolves any inquires or issues relating to production support. 

  • Supports the EDI infrastructure assisting with software upgrades and patch applications. 

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience.

  • Fully bilingual.

  • Epicor EDIHQ.

  • Experience with developing and implementing X12 EDI documents (including but not limited to 810,850,850,855,856,844,867,842,832,820,845,830). 

  • AS/400 Query 

  • Preferred: 

  • Other EDI tools including OpenText, Trusted Link, IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, IBM Gentran. 

  • Familiar with ERP such as Infor M3, Oracle EBS, JDE. 

  • Strong problem-solving/analytical skills; demonstrated ability to analyze and formulate solutions to sophisticated business and/or technical problems; able to create action plans from conclusions. 

  • Organized, attention to detail. 

  • Able to work independently with limited management supervision and direction. 

  • Written and oral communication skills are required to document and appropriately distribute information regarding EDI requirements, issues, and resolutions to all levels of staff.
