Job Summary:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, develop, and integration of security systems equipment including, but not limited to, Access Control, Remote Security Operations and CCTV Surveillance systems. Projects encompass system designs, implementations and installations. The incumbent is responsible for developing project plans, monitoring the progress of plans, communicating progress status, managing change requests, and addressing other project issues and risks as they arise.  

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, document and deploy security systems and/or packages at J.B. Hunt offices, warehouses, terminals, and shops
  • Dispatch technicians to address burglar/fire system issues
  • Oversee the design and implementation of new burglar and fire systems
  • Manage Nexus security system requests
  • Advanced configuration of CCTV VMS and Access Control
  • Provide basic CCTV set up and support including NVR and/or camera configuration, camera model and location design, IP schemes, and camera focal points
  • Provide basic Access Control system support and maintenance including, but not limited to, role and access group creation, system access delegation, active directory collaboration, vendor and contractor proxy audits and card scan reporting from SQL database
  • Troubleshoot security system issues and determine resolution
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with all security standards during the construction, testing and acceptance phases of the projects
  • Consult with key stakeholders and customers, both internal and external, to integrate the business' requirements into physical security systems design and implementation

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with 5 or more years of experience working with design, installation, and integration of Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems


Preferred Qualification:

  • Associates' Degree or higher education
  • Experience with Avigilon ACM and ACC
  • Familiarity with various Access/Intrusion Control Systems
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals regarding physical security standards and system designs
  • Ability to deliver results on time and within budget
  • Ability to interpret program objectives, develop project schedules and manage adherence to established timetables
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying degrees of size and complexity
  • Ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
  • Detail-Oriented
  • Experience in conducting technology research
  • Experience in system design and layout, construction and implementation including maintenance and upgrades over the life of the system
  • Knowledge of Remote Security Operation (RSO) system implementations
  • Knowledge of security technology
  • Organizational skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient time management skills

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
