Job Role : Program Manager – Shipping & Logistics - HIS region

Job Brief: We are looking for a top-tier Shipping manager who can own the shipping function of eBay across multiple regions like India, South-East Asia, Middle East, LATAM countries. The person leading will be responsible for crafting an effective shipping strategy for years to come and leading the cross-country teams to materialize the same. The person hired need to ensure that eBay sellers are bestowed with all the required shipping tools that help them in improving their sales effortlessly.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, Planning and Implementing a comprehensive global level multi-year shipping strategy that enables eBay to achieve its overall business objectives.
  • Capable of handling Product Strategy of shipping function and maneuvering new age technological innovations to craft smooth shipping experience for eBay sellers
  • Working closely with business leaders to understand, analyze and identify the areas of improvements from shipping perspective
  • Collaborating with logistics partners to develop end-end logistics solutions at competitive pricing
  • Collaborating with internal and external team members on regular basis to further process improvements and bring in interpersonal level behavioral changes
  • Liaison with government bodies of different countries to make certain ecommerce cross border sellers needs are heard across the regions
  • Leading team of managers and building a high-performing shipping team which cultivates a work environment that promotes innovation and collaboration.
  • Maintaining the shipping metrics of sellers belonging to regions responsible w.r.t internal benchmarks. Identifying the area of improvements, crafting shipping programs and orchestrating cross-functional teams to improve the same
  • Ensuring eBay sellers are equipped with enough logistics solution alternatives which help them to thrive and achieve greater heights on global marketplace
  • Monitoring global shipping trends and regulatory changes that will affect ebay seller fraternity and adapting the strategy accordingly
  • Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies for possible global supply chain disruptions

Requirements:

  • 10-12 years of proven experience excelling in a similar role in B2C e-commerce industry
  • Must have worked in cross-border shipping environment and should have In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements come with it.
  • Have definitive experience in building end-end cross-border solutions and preferably handled multi modal transport movements like air freight, sea freight
  • Should have done extensive vendor management
  • Excellent leadership and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • People leader with strong skills to recognize, mentor and empower talent
  • Willing to travel across borders and work in different time zones if required
