JOB SUMMARY
Design, validate, and launch new products. Accurately define functional requirements for new products. Design, test, and integrate components, finalize designs, and evaluate overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Design, develop, execute, and evaluate conformity tests, product specifications, and process validation plans. Create and review component specifications and bills of materials (BOM). Collaborate with internal manufacturing partners, external contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability. Use CAD and CAE systems to model new designs and create detailed engineering drawings.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Deepen understanding of product design engineering concepts, practices, and methods. Under supervision, perform standard design tasks. Design parts and subassemblies using standard methods and techniques. Perform dimensioning tasks and learn GD&T concepts (reading and interpreting dimensions/tolerances on design drawings). Perform daily tolerance stack-ups. Assist with design prototyping and jig development. Support planning and cost estimation for parts and materials. Summarize project progress and prepare/distribute status updates, including for customers. Conduct post-project evaluations. Deep understanding of product design tools (e.g., CAD), shortcuts, and best practices. Learn and comply with department product design guidelines and standards. Support assigned special projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES/職務と責任
プロダクトデザインエンジニアリングの概念、実務、手法について理解を深める。指導を受けながら、標準的な設計業務を実施する。標準的な手法・技術を用いて部品やサブアセンブリを設計する。寸法記入作業を行い、GD&T(幾何公差)概念の習得(設計図面の寸法・公差の読み取り・解釈)を進める。日常的な公差スタックアップを実施する。設計試作や治具開発を補助する。部品・材料の計画やコスト算出を補助する。プロジェクトの進捗状況をまとめ、顧客向けを含むステータス更新を準備・配布する。プロジェクト終了後の評価を行う。CAD等のプロダクトデザインツール、ショートカット、ベストプラクティスについて理解を深める。部門のプロダクトデザインガイドラインや基準を学び、遵守する。割り当てられた特別プロジェクトをサポートする。
