The Workers Compensation Claims Administration Officer plays a vital role in assisting with the processing and management of workers' compensation claims. This position involves administrative support, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent customer service to injured employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Claims Processing:
    • Assist in processing and management of workers' compensation claims.
    • Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with customers, medical and service providers.
  • Data Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims in the claims management system.
  • Customer Service:
    • Liaise effectively with medical service providers and injured workers when making and rescheduling medical appointments.
    • Provide timely responses to enquiries about claim status and processes.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with federal and state regulations.
    • Assist in audits and compliance reviews as needed.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the claims management team to support overall claims operations.
    • Participate in training sessions and team meetings.

Key Skills & Experience  

  • Education:
    • Higher School Certificate or above.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in workers' compensation claims management or a related field is a plus.
    • Familiarity with insurance processes and regulations is beneficial.

  • Skills:
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
    • Strong customer service orientation.
