Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will analyze, design, code, and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. You will perform maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work, contributing to the overall success of the projects. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems. - Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain high-quality software solutions. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. - Troubleshoot and debug software issues to ensure smooth operation. - Research and implement new technologies to enhance software capabilities. - Document software designs and technical specifications for reference purposes. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Manufacturing Engineering MES. -Experience with Perspective or Vision for UI development, alarm handling, real-time monitoring, and control screens. -Must have hands on experience Creating and managing OPC tags, memory tags, and scripting tags, Tag provider. -Must have Knowledge on • Python (Jython) Writing scripts for automation, UI logic, database interactions, and data transformations. • SQL (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) – Writing optimized queries, stored procedures, and managing large datasets. • REST & SOAP APIs – Consuming external APIs for ERP (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics), cloud, and third-party integrations. • JSON & XML Parsing – Handling structured data from external systems. • OPC UA & PLC Connectivity – Understanding how Ignition integrates with shop-floor devices. • MQTT & Cloud Integration – Implementing MQTT • Resource should have knowledge on Rest API and Python scripting knowledge -Lead a technical discussion, Decision making capability , Presentation skills Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering MES. • Configuring SAP Connections – Setting up RFC/IDOC connections between SAP and Ignition. • Transaction Manager – Creating and managing transactions for inbound and outbound data. • Data Mapping – Mapping IDOC fields to Ignition tags and vice versa. • Error Handling & Logging – Monitoring transaction errors and implementing retry mechanisms • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) – Understanding workflows such as order execution, material tracking, and quality control. • ISA-95 Standard – Knowledge of enterprise-to-control system integration and data hierarchy in manufacturing. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. Educational Qualification: - BE / Diplomo in CSE - A 15 years full-time education is required.
