The Role

For our Manufacturing Studio, we are looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician Lead to perform installations, repairs, and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities. A great maintenance technician lead will have a basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, pneumatics as well as carpentry. They will have a solid understanding of all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude for undertaking administrative tasks such as basic shop maintenance, tool upkeep, and inventory procedures. This candidate will be required to communicate effectively with the Operations Manager and Operations team daily.

The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.

As Maintenance Technician Team Lead, You Will:

Facilities & Operations 

  • Carry out routine inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues

  • Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality

  • Perform all repair and installation activities

  • Adhere to developed maintenance procedures and ensure health and safety policies are complied with

  • Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Inventory & Resource Management 

Monitor equipment inventory and alert the Maintenance Manager as necessary

  • Monitor and control expendable resources

  • Work with contractors and service providers to support facility needs

  • Manage workload and perform all tasks in a timely manner

Maintenance Administration & Technical Support 

  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities

  • Utilize computer software systems such as CMMS, Excel, and other relevant programs effectively

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems independently

  • Triage work orders appropriately to prioritize urgent needs

  • Work independently while maintaining clear communication with the broader maintenance team

Safety

  • Foster a safe and healthy work environment, compliant with standards and legal regulations

Qualifications 

  • 3 years experience as a maintenance technician

  • Basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC understanding

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English

  • Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, ability to be proactive

  • Experience in executing maintenance operations

  • Ability to communicate effectively across other sites and departments.

  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc. CNC and compressor experience a PLUS

  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment

  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

  • Outstanding organizational aptitude

  • High School Diploma or Degree from a vocational school

Salary Information:

The base range is $26/hr-$30/hr  plus potential performance bonuses. Final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
