As a Marketing Intern supporting the Surgical product marketing, you will help support the development and execution of customer and consumer facing programs. You will assist in the management of several strategic projects, help perform strategic analysis to identify areas of opportunity and provide support in the day-to-day management of our portfolio at Mississauga, Canada.

In this role, a typical day will include:   

• Lead development of several projects 
• Provide analysis of market dynamics identifying areas of opportunities.
• Help provide strategic input into customer marketing plan development.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in the development and approval of marketing collateral.
• Participate in the day-to-day sales management of the Surgical portfolio

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Must be enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited university
• Pursuing or graduated from a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or related major.
• Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0.
• Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e., extracurricular activities or projects.)
• Must be authorized to work in Canada on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship.
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship for roughly 4 – 8 months (Dates depend upon intern availability. Ideal candidate will work from January – August.)

Preferred qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills along with an ability to lead without authority.
• Sound strategic thinking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (French would be an asset).
• Strong computer skills
• Project management skills / detail oriented
