This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global brand for an experienced Marketing professional. Based in Singapore or Malaysia as the Marketing Manager ASEAN and Indian Subcontinent - ALS you will lead the ASEAN region into our growing market. 

The Purpose of the Job 

The ASEAN and Indian Subcontinent Marketing Manager – ALS is responsible for driving the market positioning and strategy in the ASEAN markets to ensure continued growth and competitive penetration.   This position will focus on the implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the business within the region, whilst also working closely with Asia Pacific and US based Marketing leaders to execute on global strategies within the ASEAN and Indian Subcontinent region, analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market share data, and competitor initiatives, and translate the implications into actionable plans.

In consultation with the Senior Marketing Manager produce an annual marketing plan for all market segments and manage a budget that aligns strategies and initiatives with those defined in the mid-term plan, whilst also contributing to the annual mid-term planning activities.

In alignment with the marketing teams within ANZ, APAC, and Greater China:

  • Create strong partnerships with the Sales Leaders to drive customer engagement, and ensure strategy and initiatives are synergistic.

  • Work closely within the Marketing team to effectively deliver product and company messages to the sales teams and market.

  • Plan, develop, and assist to organise marketing campaigns to support business growth objectives.

  • Track ROI on campaigns.

Manages or performs work across multiple sub-families including:

  • Product / Brand Marketing

  • Defining targeted customer segments and associated messaging

  • Developing marketing strategies and plans

  • Analysing markets to identify opportunities, determine product requirements, and inform marketing strategies.

  • Managing the product / brand Opex for Advertising and Promotion.

  • Market Research and Analysis

    • Gathering and analysing marketplace trends and customer data.

Market and Product Knowledge

  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of Advanced Life Support Product portfolio market sectors to ensure the company’s products achieve their maximum potential.

  • Establish and maintain accurate overall market information relating to size, trends, selling prices and promotion programs.

  • Monitor, analyse and effectively communicate competitive activity, highlighting potential impact on the business and strategies to combat this impact. .

  • Setting strategy for Hospital and EMS Trauma focused products/solutions and working with sales in executing strategies to develop the business across the APAC region. 

  • Working with the Hospital, Public Safety, EMS & Military sales teams to implement strategies for Acute Care Technology solutions.

  • Knowledge of clinical marketing and clinical studies to collaborate with hospital and EMS teams in execution of product rollout.

Marketing Plan and Initiatives

  • Develop and execute marketing plans which include sales/ profit objectives, strategies, tactics, sales, and promotion budgets.

  • Revise marketing objectives to reflect changes in the business and report quarterly to Senior Marketing Manager, ALS

  • Support the marketing managers to organise promotional campaigns and co-ordinate all aspects of product promotions. Maintaining mailing lists for effective product mailings and promotions.

  • Ensure the company’s attendance at conferences achieve maximum market exposure within the constraints of the promotion budget.

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives. 

  • Ensure successful new product launches including efforts put to post launch monitoring.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of tender requirements and customer specifications.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support large tender bids when required Identify unique selling points and strengths of the organisation to highlight in tender bids.

  • Offer competitor insights and support to cross functional teams working on large scale tenders. 

  • Use Tender and Contract feedback to refine marketing strategies and improve future tender submissions.

Distributor Marketing 

  • Review distributor marketing initiatives and signoff on initiatives ensuring they are consistent with ZOLL key messages and the ZOLL style guide.

  • Ensure Distributors are updated on new products and promotional material 

  • Minimum 6 years marketing experience in the medical industry.   

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or business discipline. Knowledge of the medical device industry.

  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.

  • Strong analytical skills to measure and improve marketing performance.

  • Budget management skills and proficiency

  • Experience in delivering high volume projects simultaneously with tight pressures.

  • Proven Versatility across a broad skill set for marketing 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills 

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  •  Commitment to the quality, environment, health and safety and proactively reporting any risks and issues to your Manager or Supervisor

  • Carrying out the roles and responsibilities as detailed in the quality, environment, health and safety policies and procedures
