Commercial Officer

Enfield

Full Time, 12-month fixed term contract with possible extension, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 17.00pm

Salary up to £33,000 per annum

About the Role:

Due to a new contract win we are seeking a Commercial Officer to join our team. As a Commercial Officer you will be working for a Central Government accommodation contract. You will report into the Contract Delivery Director.

As a Commercial Officer within our Enfield branch your main duties will include being part of a local team assisting Commercial & General Manager with commercial control & reporting on high standard Commercial activities to Housing properties, delivering best in class commercial acumen, customer service and  satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.

  • Ensuring accuracy of work order pricing by the review and quality checking of work orders, including sub contractor data submissions, enabling the progression of completed jobs to invoicing stage so cash collection targets can be maximised and unbilled work minimised.
  • Price sub contractor works and liaison with sub contractors to resolve any queries or disputes with completion and report any discrepancies or trends in pricing to Commercial Manager to ensure codes claimed are correct, within the job specification and that all costs can be recovered and will not cause any issue or delay to payment.
  • Monitor overheads & cost control of the contract, including materials, vehicles, equipment, tools, stock and petty cash.
  • Provide coding advice to Planning Team when required to ensure jobs are raised or varied correctly.
  • Manage contract procurement database, ensuring all certificates are reviewed, work in progress for all work streams and out of hour’s rota, processing all additional payments for staff.
  • Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with all stakeholders This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID, maintaining a high standard of
  • Health & Safety requirements, and keep all supplied company assets in a good condition in line with the company policies.
  • Provide assistance with any other tasks that may arise commercially within the branch including debt ledger, invoicing, unallocated cash and forecasting.
  • Attend informal and formal company & client meetings and training sessions as required.
