Position Summary

The Technology Project Manager drives and ensures the timely completion of Product &   Technology projects of moderate complexity and low-moderate risk (e.g.multi- business/multi-product line involvement, moderate duration and scope) under general supervision. This role exercises judgment within defined practices and procedures to successfully complete moderately difficult projects in an agile environment. The Technology Project Manager communicates effectively and manages by flexing their style to work with all business/product line levels (from individual contributors to executives).

Position Responsibilities & Essential function

  • Execute and track project against set goals, timelines, committed results, quality gates, and performance KPIs.
  • Follow effective processes to optimize delivery within an agile environment.
  • Identify and escalate conflicts.
  • Provide status updates to project team per governance model.
  • Work with development leaders to define, collect, and analyze relevant development team project metrics, with an eye toward continuous improvement.
  • Communicate scope, project roadmap, priorities, and key status updates to project stakeholders and business teams.
  • Identify and manage project risks and exceptions.
  • Propose mitigation of risks and resolution exceptions of moderate scope within the overall project delivery workflow.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends, business conditions, and internal processes and practices to influence the success of programs and initiatives.
  • Detail, action, and process orientation to deliver projects in an iterative fashion and drive initiatives to completion/

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Understanding of project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, Visio, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude (product feature/function understanding).
  • Ability to think and act creatively and tactically.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a strong aptitude for presenting thoughts and ideas to team members.
  • Some travel may be required.
     

Preferred:

  • Project Management or Agile Certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, CSP).
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment.
  • Experience in collaborating with off-shore agile teams.
  • Experience in collaborating across business/product lines
  • Understanding of technology stack & product lifecycle

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering
  • 4-6 years of experience in handling technical projects and priorities
