As Site Launch and Change Control Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring all pack design changes (New Product Introductions (NPIs), Product Transfers, and Site Changes) in support of pack changes and packaging supply goals for NA, Europe, Japan, and External Supply Pharma sites are achieved, aligned to compliance and regulatory requirements.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.  These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Assess new pack request changes and verify creation of artwork in the GPM system.

  • Initiate site change requests in the GPM system for Packs, Specifications and Drawings as requested by Pack technologists.

  • To fully evaluate all pack, change requests and co-ordinate the site impact assessment with Pack Technologists, QA, Operations Planning, NPS Team Leads and Regulatory Compliance.

  • Use the GPM system and Acrobat to manage the annotation, circulation, collaborative review and approval of proposed pack/artwork changes.

  • To collaborate via the weekly change meeting with all key functional areas, to ensure that all matters relating to changes are fully discussed, understood and communicated and that activities are carried out to ensure security of supply to commercial customers.

  • To ensure that all change order tasks are completed against the activity target dates in the GPM system workflow plan.

  • To Create and activate site Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP and GPM System.

  • Receive and evaluate all SAP master data create and change requests.

  • Initiate an SAP notification workflow plan to create or change SAP master data in collaboration with data owners, providers and maintainers.

  • To create and approve lifecycle changes and trigger deletions of obsolete packs /components resulting from new pack introduction or pack change, in SAP, GPM system, and other supply chain systems.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3+ years’ experience in distribution and supply chain

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Associates degree in Logistics/Supply Chain

  • APICS Certification, Black or Green Belt, Lean Sigma Certification

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively and respond to changes in priority.

  • Knowledge of SAP (appropriate MRP system), Agile, and interdependencies

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization across geographies and cultures.

  • Strong Communication skills (presentations, meetings, conference calls, etc.) to ensure clear, concise, well-structured communication that is easily understood by a variety of stakeholders.

GSK’s Zebulon site is a global supplier of Respiratory and Solid Dose medicines to patients around the globe and the largest GSK Pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing site in North America.  The site is located less than 30 minutes from downtown Raleigh, Wendell, Knightdale, Rocky Mount, Wilson, and Wake Forest.
