Position Title: Senior Manager – Program Management Office
Location: Amgen India – Hyderabad

Role Summary

The Senior Manager – Program Management Office (PMO) will serve as a key contributor driving site-wide initiatives for Amgen India. This role is pivotal in shaping high-impact programs, leading Employee Resource Group (ERG) efforts, and orchestrating executive-level stakeholder engagement. The individual will partner with functional leaders, strategy teams, and global stakeholders to operationalize strategic priorities while ensuring strong alignment with Amgen’s global mission.

This highly visible position requires a results-driven leader with exceptional program management expertise, strong stakeholder influence, and a proven ability to execute complex initiatives in a global matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Leadership: Oversee the design, execution, and governance of site-wide programs. Define KPIs, monitor progress, and ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Employee Resource Group (ERG) Development: Establish, scale, and champion ERGs to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Partner with HR and global ERG teams while tailoring initiatives to local needs.
  • Executive & Stakeholder Engagement: Plan and deliver high-visibility events, including senior leader and CEO staff visits. Ensure compelling storytelling, impactful representation, and seamless execution.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business leaders and strategy teams to drive execution of the site’s prioritized agenda, ensuring accountability and alignment with enterprise-wide goals.
  • Data-driven Decision Making: Define success metrics, analyze program performance, and provide actionable insights to leadership to foster continuous improvement.
  • Program Management Office Leadership: Serve as the central coordination hub, driving structured execution, governance, and continuous improvement across all site initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Requirements:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in program management, strategy execution, or business partnering in multinational or matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives at scale.
  • Strong executive presence with proven stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership and global teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to craft and deliver executive-ready messaging.
  • Experience designing and leading high-impact cultural or engagement initiatives, including ERG leadership.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in business, management, or life sciences.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or equivalent.
  • Experience in global capability centers or large multinational organizations.
  • Knowledge of design thinking or agile methodologies for program delivery.
  • Exposure to diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives or organizational branding programs.
