Job Description:

Responsibility

• Work with Project Managers and other key stakeholders (IT Managers, IT Designers and Developers, and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s)) to develop and document requirements and use cases in a manner that is clear, accurate, meaningful, and understood by all.
• Understand all business practices and the applications/systems that support them.
• Lead and participate in business analysis tasks; collaborate with key stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document project requirements and structure work accordingly.
• Analyze complex problems and produce clear options / recommendations on how to proceed.
• Manage and plan in a fast-paced, team-focused environment; manage time and prioritize tasks and projects.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand current state challenges, their root causes and future state requirements and to develop detailed future state designs.
• Interact side by side with customers and stakeholders, finding what problems and pain points they deal with on a day-to-day basis.
• Coordinate with program and project leads to ensure that designs are appropriate to be handed over for technology and business implementation.
• Create clear work plans and support project / program managers to provide regular reporting on progress to management, project sponsors and steering committees.

• Develop and nurture strong partnerships with the Scrum Master and Delivery Teams to gain strong understanding of objectives, sustain open dialogue to manage the product backlog efficiently.

• Implement and promote the use of Agile methodology within the agile team.

Mandatory Skills

• 10 - 14 years of experience as a Business System Analyst, Business Analyst, or equivalent.
• Experience in Azure DevOps, JIRA and Confluence.
• Excellent analytical skills, as well as accuracy and attention to details.
• Must have demonstrated progressive levels of responsibility, experience, and leadership.
• Understanding of IT environment, architecture, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.

• Experience working in organization shifting from traditional project teams to product teams operating model.

• Passion for understanding new technology trends.

• Experience in insurance and health industry is an asset.

• Understanding of SQL.
