About the role:
Senior Accountant primarily responsible for the accounting for FIS’ Capital Markets China business, a business with approximately $12m of annual revenue.  Also, responsible for the accounting for several smaller FIS China entities

About the team:  

This is an individual performer role that will report into a United States based Global Capital Markets Accounting Manager and will work closely with the Global Capital Markets accounting team in the U.S. and finance/accounting and business leaders across the APAC region.  

What you will be doing:

• Prepare monthly revenue and expense accounting entries and related account reconciliations for the FIS China Capital Markets entities to support the consolidated FIS financial statements   Also prepare monthly accounting entries and reconciliations for several smaller non-Capital Markets China entities
• Review and analyze the monthly income statement and balance sheet for the China Capital Markets business as well as other smaller FIS China entities
• Prepare monthly statutory accounting entries and reconciliations and support the annual statutory audits for the various FIS China entities.  Work closely with accounting and auditing firms within China
• Work closely with the billing, accounts receivable, treasury and other teams across the APAC region that support the FIS China entities.
• Ensure compliance with FIS accounting policies, procedures and practices

What you will need:

• Minimum of 4 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably at a Big 4 affiliated accounting firm or a combination of experience at Big 4 affiliated accounting firm and in a corporate accounting department of a multi-national company.
• Knowledge of Oracle financial systems and Hyperion/Essbase reporting tools
• Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin language skills required (written & spoken) to correspond with clients and relevant stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Sponsorship of work visa is unavailable

Added bonus if you have:

• Chartered Accountant, CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent accounting certification preferred
