JOB PURPOSE
Commercial Finance Junior Manager in Poland, owning rebate accruals, Trade Marketing Investments, key controls, and critical decision‑support for commercial teams within the Food category. It requires strong analytical and communication skills, a proactive business‑owner mindset, and the ability to influence, challenge, and deliver.
Responsibility for Commercial & Sales Finance activities in Poland, partnering with all cross-functions, highlighting Marketing, Customer Strategy Planning, and Customer Development functions. This role requires a business-oriented mindset, challenging attitude, and excellent communication skills and style. The role sits at the heart of the commercial decision-making process to develop plans and actions together with the business to realize the strategy and in-year plans. Within the role, you will play a critical role in driving Trade Marketing Investments topics and ensuring proper governance of customer forecasting processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting commercial decision-making for Customer Development teams, Marketing, and Customer Strategy Planning.
Financial support in negotiation.
Trade Marketing Investments budget control and Rebate Accruals governance, both Trade Terms (contractual rebates) and Consumer Price Promotions accordingly to limits.
Helping ensure the control framework is in place and working.
Marketing budget control and help in budget related questions.
Bringing curiosity to drive progress and financial improvements in several areas (e.g. process simplification).
Support to the Commercial Finance Lead in the forecasting process, actuals, and performance analysis.
Support in the Integrated Business Plan, yearly process.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional finance qualification.
Minimum 4 years of experience in finance, operations, or business partnering roles.
Solid understanding of P&L and experience with month-end close and forecasting processes; FMCG experience is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, connect insights to business impact, and balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks under time pressure.
Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
Critical thinking skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive improvements.
Fluency in Polish and English (written and spoken).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong business and financial acumen with a good understanding of commercial drivers.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, including working with large datasets.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial and data-related work.
Ability to quickly learn new topics and adapt in a dynamic business environment.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across functions and seniority levels.
Confidence in holding stakeholders accountable and supporting decision-making.
Openness to driving change and continuous improvement.
