Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Analyst (1st‑year Analyst) to support the Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) team in Mexico. This role provides hands‑on exposure to credit analysis, corporate banking, and deal execution, working closely with Relationship Managers (RMs), Portfolio Managers (PMs), product teams, and risk functions. It is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong finance background who are looking to build a long‑term career in corporate and investment banking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support credit analysis and financial assessment of existing and prospective clients, including preparation of financial models, ratios, and risk analysis.

  • Prepare credit reviews, borrower ratings, and screening memos, coordinating with Credit and Risk Management teams.

  • Assist in the development of client presentations, marketing materials, and industry research to support relationship management and deal origination.

  • Conduct company, industry, and market analysis, including peer benchmarking and review of relevant news and sector trends.

  • Support the deal execution process, including coordination of KYC documentation, local and offshore booking requirements, loan documentation, and follow‑up on credit agreements.

  • Prepare and maintain internal reports, pipeline tracking, and financial information such as cap tables and forecast revenues.

  • Collaborate with internal product partners (e.g., treasury, capital markets, trade finance) to support structured solutions for clients.

  • Use internal systems and tools to analyze deal economics, pricing, and returns.

  • Participate in ongoing training programs to develop knowledge of banking products, credit frameworks, and internal processes.

Experience:

  • 1+ years of professional experience in finance‑related roles.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Languages:

  • Advanced English (written and spoken) – required for daily interaction with international teams and preparation of documentation in English.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of financial statements and basic financial analysis.

  • Strong Excel skills for analysis and modeling; PowerPoint for presentations.

  • High attention to detail and strong analytical capability.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong sense of ownership.

  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with multiple internal stakeholders.
