The Graphic Design Intern will designs and create compelling, professional visual designs with the ability to communicate and educate others, while maintaining the Company’s brand identity.

This position will be in Omaha Nebraska, and hybrid up to 50% of the time based on manager discretion. This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship. 

What will you do?

  • Updates and distributes marketing materials as directed.
  • May collaborate with Underwriting, Product Management, Pricing, and Business Analysts regarding product enhancements, recent successes, class highlights, coverage highlights, and any other pertinent information requiring communication to agents.
  • Designs and develops other materials at the direction of others or on own as appropriate, such as videos, webinars, training materials, internal communications, external publications, company history, materials needed for Company functions.
  • Participates in the updates and maintenance of Company website. Creates social media posts and digital ads.
  • Communicates with merchandising vendors to find branded items for marketing professionals, agents, industry events, company events.
  • May complete graphic design requests (logo use, ad hoc presentation documents, advertisement photos/graphics, software UI design, etc.) ensuring that brand standards are met.
  • Maintain marketing booth calendar to be used for agency conventions, industry events, etc. including shipping and distributing company branded convention materials. Works with others to execute designs for pop-up displays, table dressing, and other branded items.
  • Continually learns and adapts to our changing business and software products. Learns Agile principles, products, and testing principles, and any additional software, platform, or process needs/changes.

What are we looking for?

  • Student enrolled in either a two year design degree program with intent to continue to four years or a bachelor degree seeking student.
  • Sophomore class standing or greater.
  • Understanding of marketing techniques and graphic design principles.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Studio
  • Ability to create web documents and email using design software and code in HTML for delivery.
  • Studio photography experience is a plus
