Job Description:

BIM Manager – Rail & Transit – Transportation Infrastructure - Oakland, CA / USA 

Opportunity:

Parsons is seeking to hire a highly experienced BIM Manager to manage, coordinate and oversee large scale rail & transit projects in major urban city markets.

Parsons is serving as a general architect/engineer consultant for on-call program management, construction management, and engineering support projects for rail & transit projects. The scope of services involves lead and support functions for program management, construction management, and engineering and construction projects. In this role you will be responsible for developing BIM standards and BIM guidelines; guiding a team of technical writers to ensure industry standards are followed; reviewing BIM standards to ensure they are in line with comparable industry documents; training project teams on processes and tools; overseeing implementation of the BIM strategy by the project teams; monitoring and enforcing compliance with BIM standards, protocols, and workflows; liaising between different project teams and external stakeholders; and conducting regularly scheduled meetings with clients to review current workflows, provide alternative workflows, and recommend improvements.

This will be a hybrid role based in Oakland, CA.

Scope of Duties:

  • Responsible for implementing and managing BIM technology and project workflows.
  • Key responsibilities include ensuring BIM design technology is efficiently implemented, data transfer from software systems is accurately geo-referenced, and agency BIM requirements are followed; managing the performance and health of BIM technology; and facilitating virtual reality reviews.
  • Manage and lead a team of BIM coordinators and BIM leads to support multi facet rail and transit projects in various urban markets in the U.S.

Requirements:

  • 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion in CAD design from an accredited technical institution (or equivalent) is preferred, as well as 12 years or more  of relevant BIM experience, inclusive of demonstrated experience managing teams of BIM coordinators for large scale projects
  • Experience supporting transportation projects is highly desirable

Salary Range: $52.26 - $91.44
