Overview of JNAM
Jackson National Life Insurance Company (Jackson) offers products, tools, and support designed to help Americans plan for a retirement with purpose. Jackson National Asset Management, LLC (JNAM) is the investment manager responsible for selecting and monitoring the asset managers of the JNL Funds – a series of proprietary mutual funds that facilitates investment freedom for contract owners within the Jackson variable annuity platform. JNAM is also responsible for providing accounting and administrative services for the Funds. In addition, JNAM directly manages several risk-based multi-strategy fund-of-fund offerings available exclusively through Jackson products.

Job Purpose
The Sr. Risk Analyst role supports processes and reporting related to the identification, management and monitoring of risk. The position is responsible for the review and analysis of risk data, including mutual fund liquidity, derivative and performance data, to facilitate the measurement, tracking and reporting of material risks
Essential Responsibilities
Contributes to business unit level development and implementation of risk management processes (e.g. Risk Control Self Assessments, Key Indicators, Scenario Analysis and Internal Incident Management).
Leverages low-code/no-code platforms, including Microsoft Power Platform to create BI reporting and process automation to enhance existing Risk processes.
Compiles key risk indicator data, supporting the completeness and quality of risk data originating from JNAM teams, committees and working groups, such as performance, valuation and best execution
Assists in tracking remediation of internal events and incidents, near misses, and other errors.
Organizes risk-themed reviews, including ensuring outcomes are aligned with business management’s Risk Control Self Assessments.
Prepares reports and assessments for various Boards, Jackson Risk, and management.
Monitors daily alerts and prepares periodic reports for the Liquidity and Derivative Risk Management Programs.
Partners with Sub-Adviser Oversight and Compliance staff to research any sub-adviser risk-related issues, as applicable.
Develops organizational safeguards against risks, such as additional technology or risk mitigation protocols.
Other Duties
Participates in any additional assigned risk related projects, papers and work, and meets deadlines with complete and accurate work products provided for assigned tasks.
Researches corporate and industry best practices and implements, as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Desire to have working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms required.
Intellectual curiosity and growth mindset to enhance the JNAM Risk team.
General knowledge of investment advisory and Fund administration operations.
Basic understanding of risk management principles, processes, and practices.
Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze problems and identify trends in data.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field required.
3+ years of relevant experience in financial services required, mutual fund experience preferred.
Experience with FIS InvestOne preferred.
