We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher with strong Excel expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to interpret data to support decision-making processes. This role requires a thorough understanding of data analysis methodologies and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Able to dispatch daily utility jobs to field service techs via computer for residential and / or commercial accounts.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to dispatch utility jobs to field service techs first thing in the mornings and periodically throughout the day
- Possess good communication skills which are essential for dealing with field service techs and customers
- Analyze and interpret data sets to provide insights and recommendations
- Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g. VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros) to manage, manipulate, and visualize data
- Develop and maintain Excel-based reports, dashboards, and models to track key performance indicators (KPI's) and other business metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support
- Clean and prepare data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data to inform business strategies
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to intensely focus on multiple tasks throughout the day
- Route work to field service technicians by dispatching work orders to a handheld devise
- Good organization skills are necessary to sort and separate field service work orders and send to service techs in the field
- Good working knowledge of computers and software systems is essential in sending, receiving, and reviewing orders
- Assist with administrative duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED,
- Minimum one year experience in industry-specific knowledge and/or related experience (i.e. customer service)
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with complex formulas, functions, and data visualization tools
- Experience with data cleaning, data validation and data transformation process
- Valid Motor Vehicle Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation to and from work location
- Ability to operate office equipment on a daily basis
- Ability to take and pass a background and pre – employment drug screen
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- PC skills using Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must be able to communicate professionally and tactfully with customers.
- Must have good active listening skills
- Have the ability to work independently in the absence of a supervisor
- Have the ability to use good judgement and make sound decisions in accordance with policies and procedures
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Provide accurate documentation to management
Physical abilities or demands:
- Sedentary work, ability to sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 10 or more pounds on occasion
- Must have good hearing and have a clear speech. As well as be able to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
