Overview

As an IT HR Systems Analyst at Buc-ee’s, you will play a crucial role in the implementation, configuration, and support of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system for our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Payroll, Operations, IT, and business stakeholders, to ensure the effective utilization and optimization of the Workday platform. As a subject matter expert, your expertise in HCM functionality and system administration will contribute to the continual improvement of our HR processes and overall business operations.

NOTE: This is an IN-OFFICE opportunity only, located in the SH 288 and Hwy 518 area.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective system configurations within Workday

  • Configure and customize Workday HCM modules, such as Core HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Learning, and Time Tracking to meet the organization's needs

  • Provide expertise in Workday business processes, data structure, and security configuration to ensure system integrity and compliance

  • Conduct data analysis and validation to ensure accurate and reliable reporting and system functionality

  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Workday with other systems, ensuring data consistency and seamless information flow

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide training and support to end users on Workday functionality, best practices, and system enhancements

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working closely with Workday support and escalating as needed

  • Stay updated on the latest Workday releases and features, evaluating their potential impact and recommending system improvements or enhancements

  • Contribute to system documentation, including user guides, process flows, and standard operating procedures

  • It is an essential function of this job for the employee to work in office/in the employee’s assigned work site. No remote work is available

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Minimum 4 years relevant work experience required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Workday Systems Analyst or similar role, with in-depth knowledge of Workday HCM modules and functionality

  • Strong understanding of HR business processes and best practices

  • Proficiency in Workday configuration, security, and reporting tools

  • Familiarity with integration methods and technologies, such as Web Services, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Workday Studio

  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments, within an HRIS team, and with stakeholders at all levels

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results within deadlines

  • Workday certifications (such as Workday HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Reporting, etc.) are preferred
