Dow has an opportunity for a Senior Associate Counsel located in São Paulo, São Paulo (Brazil), responsible for Brazil legal operations. In this job you will be able to provides legal counsel to clients in practice on all aspects of legal risk across a wide range of issues, in consultation with internal and external legal experts.

Responsibilities​:

  • Support with purchasing contract to attend all company

  • Use prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations and receive a moderate level of guidance and direction.

  • Provide informal guidance to team members.

  • Analyze possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents to solve problems.

  • Provides legal counsel to internal clients.

  • Provides client legal training and education on a variety of topics.

  • Reviews and drafts legal documents.

  • Manages outside counsel and other external resources.

  • Collaborates with internal legal subject matter experts and other Company resources.

  • Partners with paralegals and other support staff.

  • Actively manages external counsel and experts in a manner consistent with Legal department policies, matching resource levels with importance, affordability and risk.

  • Collaborate effectively with Legal team colleagues across Latin America and with the Global Legal team, non-Legal colleagues, and clients.

  • Proactively communicate with Legal Department management and clients.

  • Coordinate with business, functional, and regional clients within Dow and its affiliated companies regarding matters.

  • Develop and implement strategies for purchasing contracts.

  • Develop and implement strategies for commercial, purchasing and finance matters.

  • Establish and monitor expense budgets and information used to set financial reserves.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law.

  • Fluent English and Portuguese in verbal and written communications.

  • +3 years of Corporate Legal Experience or Law Firms.

  • OAB certification active.
