About the Role

We are looking for a Ground Freight Execution Specialist to take full ownership of the customer experience by managing the end-to-end intermodal shipment lifecycle. This role supports high-volume, complex accounts and plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence across domestic and cross-border transportation (Canada–U.S.).
You will work closely with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless transportation solutions across FTL, LTL, and intermodal shipments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving operational challenges, and is committed to delivering best-in-class customer service.
The position is based primarily in Mississauga, with occasional travel to the Caledon site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full intermodal shipment lifecycle, including FTL and LTL, ensuring timely and efficient execution
  • Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality service
  • Proactively identify, prevent, and resolve operational issues to minimize disruptions
  • Support dispatch activities and coordinate transportation schedules effectively
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and ensure alignment with operational targets
  • Identify root causes of service failures and implement corrective actions with stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance customer experience

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who bring transferable skills and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations (imports/exports and domestic freight preferred)
  • Knowledge of cross-border operations between Canada and the U.S. is an asset
  • Exposure to dispatching or transportation coordination is highly desirable
  • Strong customer-centric mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset

Role Details

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Work Model: On-site, with time split between Mississauga and Caledon locations
  • Travel: Occasional travel between nearby sites required
  • Salary Range: CAD $53,000 – $63,000 annually (based on experience)
