Role Summary:

The Data Steward will join the Chief Data Office and provides day to day expertise and coordination of the data quality and integrity of the data within their domain. They will be the functional expert with a deep understanding of the data and business processes and will be responsible for facilitating its proper usage, standardization, and documentation across teams to ensure data consistency. This is a critical operational role for the firm’s data governance initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for quality of their data within their domain and ensures data is populating as expected. ​

  • Supports the data correction and override processes as mandated by policies or procedures​.

  • Support efforts to drive continuous improvement and implementation of Data Governance processes, policies, business rules, data quality rules, data definitions, data classifications, metadata, and other compliance needs, data security, and compliance initiatives.

  • Responsible for reporting on data quality. Including defining data quality measurements, data quality expectations and validation of controls and reporting on data issues.​

  • Facilitate escalations and drive remediation and resolution, perform root cause analysis for data issues. ​

  • Responsible to identify, define, classify, review, and validate metadata within their domain.​

  • Work closely with data owner(s) to make sure data is protected, secure and used for authorized purposes only.

  • Build, manage, and curate data catalog with metadata to enable data owners and stakeholders to govern data assets.

  • Spread data awareness across organizations and make sure data literacy and data-driven decisions are promoted to maximize the use and value of data for the business.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Thoughtful process of analyzing data and problem-solving skills to reach a well-reasoned solution.

  • High sense of urgency and follow through. Partnering effectively to execute on common goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Data Governance and Data Stewardship
  • Experience working with Data Cataloging tools
  • Experience with ServiceNow and JIRA

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work up to three days a week.

Regional Requirements:

Base salary range:

$91,500 - $156,500 USD

For the location of:

Colorado

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
